I did a lot of research when looking for an engagement ring. After a hunt through several stores and private jewellers, a friend of mine recommended Samuel Kleinberg Jeweller's. I am forever thankful to this friend.
Lorne is a very knowledgeable man who helped simplify the entire process. We had a vision in mind and he was able to find exactly what we needed, make recommendations, but give us space to make the decision ourselves. This was a no pressure buying experience that made it very enjoyable.
Melissa was an absolute savior to us as we tweaked and changed our minds a hundred times with the design idea. She was able to respond unbelievably quick to my numerous e-mails and always communicated with us effectively so that we knew exactly what was going on. This was essential as we lived 4 hours from the city and were juggling busy work schedules. Her patience is something to aspire to and her incredible accommodation made us feel like we were the most important customers in the world. With her help we received a final product that certainly exceeded our expectations - we couldn't be happier.
I would strongly urge anyone looking at jewellery of any kind to go to Samuel Kleinberg. These people really understand customer service and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. My fiancée and I look forward to returning for wedding bands! Thank you guys so much for making this special time so memorable.

The following was my quest for the “perfect” engagement ring.
When I first decided to buy an engagement ring, my first experience looking at rings made me realize that I knew absolutely nothing about what ring to buy, what to look for and even what my girlfriend wanted. After getting some coaching from my future mother in law, my cousin and doing some research on my own, I felt I was ready to really search for the “perfect” ring or so I thought. I was going to go to a family friend in NYC while I was down there for Christmas break but 24 inches of snow got in the way. That act of God led me to Samuel Kleinberg Jewellers and things couldn’t have worked out better!
I met with Lorne the first time and gave him an idea of what I was looking for. To say I felt a tad overwhelmed would be a major understatement. One of the (and there are many) qualities that I really respected in Lorne right off the bat is how easily he could visualize what I was explaining to him (no matter how warbled) and be able to show me what it is I wanted and I loved the fact that I never felt pressured into committing to anything I didn’t feel comfortable with.
After thinking I knew what I wanted in the ring, a couple of interventions by family with “latest updates” led to last minute revisions which at one time totally changed the look of the ring. Lorne showed an incredible amount of patience with me, worked everything into a tight budget and the end result was (borrowing a phrase from my future father in law) stunning.
My future bride (being a New Yorker, that episode of Seinfeld makes it tough on me to use the Fiancée word) absolutely loves the ring (she has emailed me in the middle of the day just to let me know she is looking at it and loves it). If this experience is any indication, the rest of our lives together should be pretty smooth sailing…

What a treat it was to work with Melissa in designing a ring from some stones in a piece I inherited. Melissa has that rare quality of knowing how to listen and in so doing, she produced the perfect piece for my hand. I wanted to participate in the creation of this ring and Melissa was encouraging and enthusiastic to my ideas.
Still, when I would vere from the path, she would keep me on track. Neither her enthusiasm nor her patience waned during the process and I would eagerly recommend her to anyone looking for custom design.
Now the ring brings the aesthetic joy I was looking for, as well as great memories of the creative process. My only regret is that I did not inherit more stones so I could do the process all over again.
